For some reason, people will buy the rights to a product (or create it themselves), and then go into a market where they will face a great deal of competition. What is one market that I see this happening to all the time? Well believe it or not, it’s the internet marketing niche.
If this is your first time trying to sell eBooks online, don’t venture into the “internet marketing” or “make money online” niche. It’s tough, a lot of people already have their share of the marketplace, and a lot of people are EXCELLENT marketers who knows how to drive you out of this market. It’s tough, so sell an eBook in a niche that doesn’t have a lot of competition. Here’s another tip:
2) Learn your math
Math is virtually everything in the eBook business. You have to know what the average lifetime value of a customer in your business is. This will let you know how much you can afford to spend on a typical customer. So if the average lifetime value of a customer in your business is $500… that means that if you spend $500 to acquire a new customer, you haven’t loss any money.
Now that you have the new customer for free (virtually), you can continue to sell to them on the backend, and get them to buy more of your eBooks. This is where the bulk of your business income will come from. Never get hooked on the idea that you have to always worry about frontend sales. Worry more about backend profits. Here’s the last tip:
3) Learn how to automate your business
Isn’t this what the eBook business is all about? Don’t you want a great income all while doing whatever you want to do – whenever you want to do it? It’s important that you learn how to automate your business. And not for personal luxury reasons, but also for financial reasons too.
Once you have systems set up in your eBook business, you won’t have time to go back and try to change things on the fly. There’s just too many things that you have to do as an online business owners to monitor everything at once. So create mini-marketing systems that take care of the small things in your business. Once good example of this would be to invest in a good email autoresponder.
